The Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Trust is the largest centre for the treatment
of heart and lung conditions in the UK and one of the largest in the world.
Our two hospitals are international leaders in the investigation, treatment and
care of people with heart and lung disease.
The Challenge:

- Provide medical team with an ergonomic space efficient solution to support both
LCD monitor, keyboard and mouse
The Royal Brompton Hospital was seeking to implement a ward based patient records
system to allow medical staff to up have the minute access to patients data.
As will most modern hospital wards space was at a premium. Without any floor space
available to house the new systems, a zero footprint wall or desk mounted solution
would be required.
Internal cable management would also be a key factor in reducing dust collection
points.
After assessment of each ward, it was decided that a combination of both desk and
wall mount solutions would be needed along with CPU housing's.

After defining the key objectives with the Royal Brompton Hospital it was decided that the ICW Elite combination monitor and keyboard solution would exceed all criteria's.
The EMEL5220WMQ1-0-3 provides a massive 1066mm of gas assisted height and reach adjustment. All cables are routed internally through and arm. This solution allowed for both sit and stand operation.
Medical staff are now able to comfortably access up to the minute patient records with ease.
